CAN TAKING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
HELP LOSE WEIGHT?
A randomised trial found it can when added to a low energy diet worked better than diet alone and also lowers cholesterol, BMI and Triglycerides.
In addition, apple cider vinegar improves insulin sensitivity in healthy people as well as in those with diabetes. The antiglycemic properties of vinegar are evident when small amounts of vinegar are ingested with meals composed of complex carbohydrates. In these situations, vinegar reduced after meal blood sugar by 20% compared to placebo
Try 1–2 teaspoons in a glass of water, along with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Apple cider vinegar also works well when people mix it with olive oil as a salad dressing as often used in the Mediterranean diet.
